Enabling push notifications

If notifications are disabled on an iOS or Android device because they may have been disabled or blocked in the past. Follow the below instructions to re-enable notifications:

Notifications for iOS:

1. Open Settings:

  • Find and open the "Settings" app on your iPhone.

2. Find the App Settings:

  • Scroll down and look for the Surreal app within the Settings app. Tap on the app to access the Surreal app settings. If you don’t see it, you may need to install the Surreal PWA first.

3. Access Notifications Settings:

  • Within the Surreal app's settings, find and tap on "Notifications" or a similar option related to notifications.

4. Enable Notifications:

  • Look for a toggle switch labeled "Allow Notifications" or something similar. If notifications are currently disabled, toggle the switch to the "on" position.

5. Return to Home Screen:

  • After enabling notifications, press the Home button or swipe up to return to the home screen.

6. Open the Surreal App:

  • Launch the app by tapping its icon on the home screen.

7. Allow Notifications Prompt:

  • Navigate back to the Personal Account Settings via the User icon in the top right of the page. Scroll down to the Notifications sections and ensure the “Push notifications” toggle is on for Gig reminders.
  • You should now see the the option to enable push notifications for Surreal.

Notifications for Android:

1. Open Settings:

  • Open the "Settings" app on your Android device.

2. App Settings:

  • Scroll down and tap on "Apps" or "Application Manager," depending on your device.

3. Find the App:

  • Locate and tap on the specific app for which you want to enable notifications.

4. Access Notification Settings:

  • Look for an option related to notifications. This might be labeled as "Notifications" or "App notifications."

5. Enable Notifications:

  • If notifications are disabled, there should be an option to enable them. Toggle the switch to the "on" position.

6. Return to Home Screen:

  • After enabling notifications, press the back button or use gestures to return to the home screen.

7. Open the App:

  • Launch the app by tapping its icon on the home screen.

8. Allow Notifications Prompt:

  • Navigate back to the Personal Account Settings via the User icon in the top right of the page. Scroll down to the Notifications sections and ensure the “Push notifications” toggle is on for Gig reminders.
  • You should now see the the option to enable push notifications for Surreal.
